Enjoyed by many for its freshwater lakes for fishing, swimming, boating and skating, Rockwood is the hub of outdoor activities year round.
Over 55 trails and footpaths will guide you through the Park’s unspoiled charm, with its unusal topography and geography. A Stonehammer Geopark site, Rockwood’s billion years of history can be seen in unique rock formations, caves and waterfalls. TRAILS: Trails are not yet groomed and are currently very icy. The paved Fisher Lakes Drive is also very icy.The golf course will be groomed and track set for cross country skiing, while the  Zoo trail will be groomed for multi-use (fat bikes, walking, running, snowshoeing, dogs) when conditions permit.

ICE: The ice area close to the Pavilion on Lily Lake is open for skating with a current thickness of approximately 10 inches. The City of Saint John will not be taking any equipment on the ice to do maintenance until the ice is 12 inches thick. Public locker rooms, located in the Pavilion, are open from 9 am-9pm daily.

ICE FISHING: Fisher Lakes is a designated ice fishing waterbody, and the season is now open. Permanent shacks are not permitted.
